     SLC Diagnostic Imaging is  a mobile ultrasound company that intends to provide ultrasound procedures to patients at hospitals and clinics.  With a mobile company, clinics have the ability to schedule in office echo, carotid and Intima-Media Thickness (IMT) studies.  This is a benefit that works for both clinics and patients I.e. clinics can bill the technical or global component depending on the procedure performed.  The patient gains from this as well, they get  return to the clinic they are familiar with, instead of traveling  sometimes many miles to a hospital that they are not so familiar with.  Patients  also run the risk of waiting sometimes weeks for procedures due to hospital backlog. 

     In October of 2007, SLC Diagnostic Imaging purchased the new GE Vivid I.  GE’s Compact Series ultrasound systems places the power and imaging capabilities of a high-performance 400 pound console system into a laptop-size design.  Read the GE press release www.ge.com.
